Happy Halloween!

We love Halloween at our house.  This year Brock wanted to dress up as Santa Claus.  Daddy sewed the Santa costume last week.  Norah dressed up as a beautiful butterfly.  We bought pumpkins and a big new skeleton that both kids love.

Trick-or Treat!

Last Friday we went to the Halloween party at Daddy's office.  All of the kids loved Brock's costume!

Brock and Norah Visit the Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday we went to the pumpkin patch.  Brock had fun but Norah wasn't thrilled.

Pumpkins are scary!

Brock doesn't think so.

I will NOT like pumpkins!  You can't make me!

Scary Halloween Brock

I'm safe now.

Norah is 9 Months Old!

Norah was 9 months old on the 17th and she had her 9 month check-up yesterday.  She weighs 19.14 pounds and is in the 75th percentile for weight.  She is 27 inches long which is the 25th percentile.  Apparently she has inherited my short genes.  Her major milestones this month are being able sit up on her own and crawling.  She is a big girl and now uses the big car seat.  She loves baths and she loves Daddy now.  This morning she actually started crying when Daddy handed her to me as he was leaving to take Brock to school.  Sometimes she waves at people at the appropriate times but sometimes she waves for no reason so I'm not sure if she is actually waving at people.  She likes to play with Brock's toys, especially Little People and animals and she also likes playing with books, paper, and Butterballs.  Norah is still insecure when other people hold her and wants me to take her back.
Here are more pictures from the past month.

Vote for Mitt!

Last night Mitt Romney came to our town!!  I guess we're an important swing city.  There were thousands of people of at the rally and it was great to be surrounded by so many people who agree with me.  We saw one protester while we were driving to the event and I wanted to get a picture so everyone could have a good laugh but just as we got up to him the car line started moving and we drove by too fast.  He was wearing a yellow bird costume and holding a dinky sign that said "Cut big oil, not Big Bird."  Really?!?!

The rally was at our amphitheater and the weather was perfect.  These are pictures I took as we were walking to the theater.

On the way out

Since the rally was in our town we had a short drive home and then watched an incredible Aggie football game.  It was a perfect ending to our day.

Horseback Riding

Yesterday Brock started horseback riding lessons.  They take time off in the summer because it is so hot.  Brock missed riding Comanche all summer and he was excited to start again.  His teacher said he did a great job and remembered everything from his previous lessons.

Goodbye, September

We were very busy in September.  Brock has school and started music class and he loves it so much.  We play music class after school every day.  Norah is busy playing with all of Brock's toys and trying to crawl.  Here are some pictures from late August and September.

Brock acting silly!

Norah loves Brock's gloworm and Woody!

Brock is learning to ride his bicycle.

We never got to go swimming but here is Norah in her bathing suit.

Brock is a my good little helper.  He helps give Norah a bath, picks up her toys for her when she drops them, pushes her in her swing, teaches her how to play farm, and sings O Christmas Tree and I Love My Norah to her at naptime.  He also lets her look at his books.
