Memorial Weekend

Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

On Saturday Brock had his last riding lesson for a few weeks.

We went to the park on Monday. 

Tonight we went to see Mr. Richard.  We haven't seen him since before Christmas.  I told Brock we were going to the Wendy's drive-thru and then to meet Daddy at Chick-fil-a and he immediately said, "Mr. Richard!"   Norah met Mr. Richard for the first time. 

Norah's 4 Months Update

Norah had her 4 months check-up yesterday.  She weighs 16 pounds and is 24.25 inches long.  She is in the 95th percentile for weight and 60th for height.  She is the size of a 6 to 7 months old baby. 

Norah found her toes last Friday.

She still likes her bouncy seat.

Bath time is fun!

She's sleeping with her hands behind her head, just like Brock.

It's so much fun to grab Daddy's nose and hold on really tight with her extremely strong fingers.

Islands of Adventure

Saturday we went to Islands of Adventure.  It was Norah's first trip to a theme park and I became one of those moms that takes their tiny baby to a loud, crowded theme park in the scorching heat.  Actually, the heat wasn't too bad because there is lots of shade and some of the attractions are inside.  The only bad part was when we first arrived and had to wait in a long line outside of the NBA City restaurant.  (This was a work event and that is where they were serving lunch to EA employees)  Then when we finally got to the door they said it would be another 30 minutes.  Norah was not happy because she was starving and the only place to sit was at the bar.  So, I then became one of those moms that gives her baby a bottle at a bar.  At least I got to sit at a little table off to the side.  After we finally ate lunch it was time for fun!  The first place we went was the splash park.  Brock played in the water while the rest of us sat in the shade.

Next we rode the Dr. Seuss Carousel.  It was Norah's first theme park ride!  I think she liked it.

Norah and I went shopping while Daddy and Brock rode the trolley and the Cat in the Hat rides.  Norah liked to look at the Thing 1 and Thing 2 toys.

After shopping Brock and Daddy rode the One Fish, Two Fish ride.  It goes around in a circle and also up and down and shoots water.  Ha ha, they got sprayed with water several times before the ride even started.

Then Daddy wanted Brock to ride the Jurassic Park River Adventure ride.  This is a ride with a huge drop at the end.  I did not want Brock to ride it because I didn't want him to be terrified and have his day ruined by a scary ride.  Unfortunately he met the height requirement.  I was so afraid my sweet Brock would be crying when he got off the ride but he was fine.  He didn't get scared but he wasn't really excited either.  Jared said he slid off the seat and onto the floor when they went down the huge drop.  I wasn't able to get a good picture but you can get an idea from this.

Brock found another splash pad to play on in the toon area.

At the end of the day we went shopping and got a snack at the candy store.
