Cute Sleeping Ritual

We left our camera on a tripod in Brock's room last month to see what he does after we put him to bed. Here's his sleep ritual. He pats the bed before he lays his head down. Now he sleeps with a plush Snoopy so he won't be lonely. We'll have to see what he does with Snoopy some other time.

Brock's New Favorite Activity

Brock loves to open and close drawers over and over again. He also likes to see what's inside and take everything out. Playing with the clothes keeps him occupied for a long time.

Halloween Party

Last Saturday night we had a Halloween party at our house. Everyone was required to wear a costume. I made chili, pumpkin bread, and a cheese ball that looked like a pumpkin and all of our friends brought drinks and food too. My favorite food was the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies made by Amy. We voted on the best costumes and played games. The Gingerbread Man won best costume and the Asterisk Hunter won most original costume. I did not get a picture of the Asterisk Hunter in costume. I also did not get a picture of myself in my costume. I was dressed as Adrian from Rocky when Rocky takes her ice skating. Brock's costume was made by Daddy.

11 Months Old!

Brock crawls everywhere, pulls himself up, sits down, and climbs. He can take a couple of steps from one piece of furniture to another. He's also eating lots of food by himself - bananas, peaches, pears, peas, pineapple, green beans, meat, bread, Cheerios, and cake. He loves books, opening and closing drawers, opening and closing doors, door stops, dropping things and picking them up, bouncing balls and chasing them, taking baths, and swinging.

Climbing and Talking

On Saturday Brock climbed onto the laundry basket. I didn't get it on video, but I had the camera out already so I got several pictures.






Sometimes Brock gets excited and starts talking. It's usually after he has eaten. Food puts him in a good mood. See how cute!






He moved from one piece of furniture to the other for the first time today. He's getting much better at walking around objects that he's holding on to and squatting down to pick stuff up while remaining standing. What a big boy!

Pumpkin Patch!

Today we went to the Farm down the road where they grow corn and other produce. We bought two pumpkins to carve for Halloween and took some great pictures. The farm is close to our house and we hope to go back. They have mazes in the corn fields, hayrides, and farm tours.

Brock loves his play table, and it's even more fun now that he can stand up on his own.


Brock builds his muscles by doing push-ups.
Not really. He is crawling all over the place, but he doesn't like to have his knees on the tile.


Brock needs to rest a little. Crawling and standing up are very tiring.


Hey, it's story time!


Brock likes to stand at the coffee table and talk.


He figured out that he needs to lower his head to crawl under the table. Now he can get across the room much faster.

Opening and closing drawers is one of his favorite things to do.
