Here are my two men, all dressed up! We've had a great day so far. One of the words Brock says is the word day. He calls Jared's dress shoes 'day' because I call them his Sunday shoes. Sometimes he will say "day shhhh". This morning while Jared was getting ready for church Brock brought him his Sunday shoes. I don't know if Brock knows that those are the shoes Daddy wears with his suit, or if he knew it was Sunday because we were getting ready for Bible class and made the connection to the shoes. Either way we were very proud of him for knowing which shoes Daddy would wear.
Today is the first day for Brock to wear his suit and his own Sunday shoes. He seemed to like his shoes very much.
He also said a new word today during Bible class. He said "Bible" and last Wednesday night he said "eyes". His teacher said he is verbalizing more and more in every class and next quarter he is going to move up to the preschool class.
Another important development came at lunch. We got our first "no" that was not an answer to a yes/no question. We ate lunch at Burger King and Brock was sitting in the booth without a booster seat. When he sits without the booster he has a tendency to wallow all over the bench. Jared told him to turn around and sit up straight because that's how big boys do it. Brock did what Jared said and then shook his head no. I said, "yes they do, Brock", and he shook his head again. It was a non-verbal no, but he's never "disagreed" that way before.

Carnival
This past weekend the Carnival was in town. Brock had a blast. He had fun just walking around and seeing the lights and watching the rides. He rode on a car ride and on the swings. He was on the swings all by himself and I was very nervous but he did great!
We weren't sure what kind of food they would have so we ran by Wendy's and got Brock a hamburger. Jared and I settled for hot dogs. It was cold that night and had been cold for the past few days so we are wearing our jackets. Notice the hottie behind us. She is leaving the carnival. I guess she figured out trying to look hot doesn't actually keep you warm.
Brock loved the car ride and got upset when it was over. He did not want to get off.
Brock rode the swings next. I was worried but Jared knew Brock would like it because he swings all the time.
Another significant event happened on Saturday. Brock said "eee aw" for the donkey sound.
